Refractive Lens Exchange Surgery

During the procedure, Dr. Khanna inserts an artificial lens implant into the natural lens capsule of the eye, successfully correcting your refractive error for problem-free vision. Multifocal Restor or Rezoom or a traditional lens can be implanted.
In March, the U.S. FDA announced the approval of the ReSTOR lens and ReZoom multifocal refractive IOL for cataract patients.
ReZoom IOL represents the next generation acrylic three-piece multifocal IOL. The ReZoom IOL Balanced View Optics distribute light over five optical zones for enhanced restoration of visual function, providing distance, intermediate, and near vision for reduced spectacle dependence.
The ReSTOR lens can improve a patient’s near, distance, and intermediate vision. The ReSTOR lens is approved for cataract patients with and without presbyopia.
ReSTOR has an apodized diffractive optic design and refocuses light onto the retina for images at various distances without having to move mechanically. The result is reduced dependence of glasses for near, intermediate, and distance vision. Patients that desire spectacle independence after cataract surgery are ideal candidates for the ReSTOR lens.
