SNL and lack of vision

Regarding poking fun at the New York Governor:

Freedom of speech is great. Power also gives responsibility. What we have seen lately is that power is corrupting the sensibilities. Tv and media have a responsibility. Fun is when everyone laughs with you. Carlos Mencia- Pokes fun at everyone- no one is taboo. good humor.

Whereas SNL is selective (political motives?) why cant they use humor this holiday season to generate money for the blind. Khanna Instittue in Los Angeles is trying to impart sight wevn those who cant afford it. When will the media really give back??
