FDA and LASIK

Laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) is safe and well accepted, an FDA advisory panel concluded today. Although overzealous marketing and assembly line approach may lead to inappropriate use of LASIK, such questionable clinical decision-making does not detract from the device's overall safety, found the agency's Ophthalmic Devices Advisory Committee after a day of hearings.
Just as Dr. khanna says. Fire can be used to burn down or to cook food. Fire is not good or both;it behooves the user to use it wisely.
Same way- LASIK is safe and effective if risks and benefits are discussed in detail and patients are carefully chosen. http://www.khannainstitute.com/choosing_surgeon.html
