Once legally blind!

~Back in October we had a patient come in from Argentina she was interested in what we could do for her. She was legally blind. Dr. Khanna examined her and decided restor lens would be best for her. First Dr. Khanna did her right eye, then 11 days later Dr. Khanna did her left eye. Today she came in for her post-op and she is seeing better than she has ever seen in her life! She was as happy as could be!

Lasic Vs Lasix

Our LASIK institute located near camarillo and moorpark gets these questions a lot. Whats the difference between laasik, lasik, lasic and lasix?
We answer these good folks from camarillo, simi valley and thousand oaks as such.
Lasix is a diuretic medicine used for control of blood pressure.
LASIk is eye surgery for correction of refractive disorders. It is an acronym for laser assisted intrastromal keratomileusis. Yes, we are the pioneers in the safer methods of LASIK.

With offices in westlake village, valencia and santa monica we cater to people from as far as ventura, palmdale, bakersfield, beverly hills, camarillo, lancaster, santa barbara, ontario, riverside and cerritos.

Thousand Oaks LASIK Surgery

For those unfamiliar with thousand oaks and the lasik surgeons here, this would be an interesting read. Khanna Institute of LASIK and Refractive Surgery is on the border of thousand oaks. It is the only center with a LASER in town. What that means is you can have lasik and be back home in thousand oaks in 10 minutes. If you are not a candidate for LASIK you can opt for Superlasik, Intacs, Visian Phakic IOL (implantable contact lens) Conductive Keratoplasty(CK) or even multifocal lens. Still you would be back in the comfort of you home in 10 minutes. For we are the only Refractive Surgery Institute with all surgical facilities adjacent to thousand oaks.
Why is thousand oaks so called. Is it because it has a thousand oak trees? Its important to know that the oak trees are protected. One cannot even trim an oak tree in thousan oaks or westlake village without permission.
If you feel the tree is obstructing your vision it is easier to come and have LASIK with us and improve your vision.

Is the price Right?

~We all know that price is important! But think about it, is that all that is important? We get these phone calls that come in from all over Ojai, Santa Monica, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Fillmore, Santa Paula wherever it may be and the first thing that comes out a lot of peoples mouth is how much is it? Well that's a great question. But aren't you also concerned about who the doctor is, how long has he been practicing, how is the facility, the equipment we use, what's the quality of our machine, what's the staff like, what's the environment like in the office. Well the great thing about our office is we offer FREE consultations. In that FREE consultation you get to come into the office meet the staff, meet Dr. Khanna, most important of all find out if you are a candidate whether it be for Lasik, or Super Lasik! You may even need a didn't procedure done such as intacs, or cataract surgery who knows until you come in and see us for your FREE consultation. We are also more than happy to go over the procedure with you, the cost and answer any questions you may have!

The Procedure!

~Everyone always builds theirselves up prior to the procedure whether it be lasik, PRK, cataract surgery, or even intacs they always get their anticipation up and their anxiety. It doesn't matter where you are from whether it be Canoga Park, Newbury Park, Agoura Hills, Camarillo, or even Calabasas everyone seems to build up their anticipation and anxiety prior to the procedure. Then when its all said and done they look back and say it wasn't all that bad. They got all worked up for nothing!

Another happy patient!

Today we had a patient from Moorepark come in for her last follow up, just to make sure she is still happy and doing good. A year ago she came in for lasik surgery and now a year later she came back for her final check up, and she is happier than ever. We advised her she is more than welcome to continue coming to us for her routine check ups. She is so happy with her results from the laser procedure that she is now telling all her friends about the Khanna Institute and how happy we have made her!

Oak Park

Someone asked us weather we were near oak park. There are 2 oak parks, one a couple of miles from our office (next to agoura hills). The other is near Simi Valley.
Hope this clears the confusion to people seeking LASIK.

Happy Mechanic on duty in Oxnard!

~We have a patient which is a mechanic who had lasik surgery in the beginning of October. Before he had the procedure he had to wear glasses and he could hardly see with his glasses, they would fall off, he would hit them against things, and now that he's had lasik done he is very happy. It has made his job that much easier, and all his clients in Oxnard happy.

Ready to go.....

~This afternoon we had a patient that came in from Malibu to have a free lasik screening, then they continued forward with the exam. This patient was so excited about being a great candidate for super lasik that they wanted the procedure done today. The thought of them being able to wake up in the morning sit up and be able to see and to not have to worry about putting on glasses or putting contacts in made them anxious and very excited!

New Patient inquiring information!

New patient called today wanting to know about lasik, and super lasik. They wanted to know why super lasik is so super, and what the difference was. I informed them that with super lasik there is no cutting of the cornea to create a flap. Without going into great detail I told him the pros and cons of lasik and super lasik. Then I informed them that we can do a free screening and see whether they are a candidate for lasik or not. In that screening we could tell them all about lasik, and super lasik. This way they would also be able to meet us, the staff, see the facility and learn more about the procedures! In conclusion the patient came for a free screening and ended up getting an exam, and scheduling for the procedure!

Newbury park

A 52 yr old young woman recently came seeking the restor lens. On examination Dr. Khanna found this nice pleasant lady would do better with Blend LASIK. So newbury park (next to thousand oaks) has another glasses free person.
Since Dr. Khanna is a refractive surgeon he can decide the better procedure for you. he does not try to fit all pegs into a square hole. Personalization and customization makes this Los Angeles LASIK surgeon so sought after.
