Side effects of Help
Continuing with the train of thought from the previous blog-
Teaching patients or others about building confidence, skills and thus a better lifestyle is a two edged sword. It can make them happier and respect you. It can also lead to dependence, and transference reactions. As physicians in todays society we have to be careful. the best intentions may be misrepresented. Hence people of faith shoul be the one to talk about religion. If doctors start religious classes temples and churches may again practice medicine.
Physicians have to heal - faith and prayer and meditation are good instruments. But lets not involve docs in religion.
The Khana Institute of LASIK and Refractive surgery serves Los Angeles, Simi Valley, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Malibu, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Oxnard, Calabasas
